Luka Torrez, George Lopez, Mario Perez and Edwardo Martinez got the opportunity to practice the skills they have been learning in Northern’s Electrical Technology program as well as new construction techniques helping to build a solar powered gazebo that will let WCU students study outdoors in comfort.

The Rural CTE Alliance is a collaborative effort to address the unique challenges and opportunities in Career and Technical Education for rural communities. Dr. Kurt Steinhaus, former Secretary of the New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) served as master of ceremonies.
